Are OEM Toyota lock cylinders for ignition rekeyable?

Default Are OEM Toyota lock cylinders for ignition rekeyable?
I have to replace my ignition lock cylinder and was wondering if I could just get a used original lock cylinder from another car and then have it re-keyed? I know there are aftermarket ones, but they are listed as not rekeyable so I am not sure. I don't see why they cant be rekeyed.

Unlike a tradition home lock automotive locks for the most part (95%+) are not meant to be rekeyed. That being said we do rekey automotive locks all the time, it is just a difficult job because the lock really was never meant to be taken apart. It can compromise the lock making it weaker and more prone to failure. Good luck!
