If you know how to do it, it's a lot of hard work. If you don't know how to do it, it is better that you don't even try. So, if you are just curious about it, the best way to learn is to study the auto repair manuals at the library. Chilton's is a good one. Then watch mechanics actually do the job and explain each step. Changing a motor is not somehting you can just talk about and that prepares you to do the job. One good place to see engines being removed is the auto salvage yard.
