I'm aware that the supra is an inline vs. the camry, I'm just wondering if it is at all possible. Thanks















the camry is RWD, and i want to drop the supra in the camry

Which way are you going? Camry motor in the Supra or vice versa? A little detail would help. I'm thinking more 2JZ in the Camry. If its gonna be a road legal car that depends on the emissions laws where you live. The main problem you will run into is going from a transverse mounted motor to running the straight mounted I6 2JZ. hope you've got loads of cash and know some good fabricators.

Don't think it can be done. 99 Camry has a transverse (sideways) mounted inline-4 or V-6 with a transaxle mounted beside it. Supra Turbo has a longitudinal inline-6. The Supra engine is much longer than the Camry engine, and mounted front-to-back with the transmission bolted to the back. I don't think you can mount the Supra engine transversely and fit it to the Camry transaxle, which isn't made for that power anyway (understand you said RWD, but where do you find an RWD 99 Camry?) Better option is to find a turbo kit for your Camry engine.
