No they don't. Like any automatic transmission, though, you can select lower gears. In drive, it will automatically shift through low to overdrive. If you want 3rd gear, push the lever to the left in the wide slot where drive is. That will give a slight engine braking effect while coasting down long hills where you don't want to overheat your brakes. You can select 2nd or first, if you need the transmission to go no higher.
