because of supply and demand ....no one wanted it .......their sales sucked....so they didn't continue it...

The fact is MANY people wanted the 2 door Solara. And Toyota made plenty on it....but Toyota was greedy. Their mind set was..."Why make a 2 door? Just make a 4 door and force everyone to buy that, saving money on the 2 door Camry line. The only 2 doors are Yaris YUK. And so after many bought the Solaras..like myself...they found themselves out in the cold for future trade ins, because a line that is discontinued is worth less. Toyota could care less. If you insist on a Toyota you can choose between a 4 door....and a four door. They started them in 1999 and dumped them in 2008. The Celica..the same...The Supra...the same...and many more. Each time Toyota claimed there was no demand. HONDA has a two door Accord. So do most other car makers. Except Toyota. Because their bottom line is NEVER the consumer. It is ALWAYS to fill their pockets with American dollars. That's why they are in the mess that they are today. Buy a Honda or an American car. Anything is better than Toyota.

Many people are not buying Japanese now that the finally realize that the Japanese can't make a quality car like the Americans and Europeans can so they had to cut a line out.

because sales were bad, nobody was interested, it was slightly for teens (girls) or middle aged woman.
