I use mechanics engine flush before I change oil in my 98 Corolla that has 105,000 miles, to eliminate possible sludge and other deposits. I fill it with one bottle of Slick 50, and however much 10-30 synthetic it needs after that. 've torn down engines that were Slick 50 treated and have seen virtually no wear in them in spite of high mileage. One engine had 80,000 miles and the hone marks were still in the cylinders. Non-treated engines I've opened up at half that mileage had cylinders worn mirror-smooth. Syntheticoil costs more than mineraloil, but it holds up much longer. I can do annual oil changes instead of twice per year.
