Default Why does my 2010 corolla make loud brake noises?
If I am braking and hit a bump, anti lock braking is very loud. Also, the other day, I had to come to a stop quickly, and the same noise happened on a flat surface. its seems the anti lock braking is the problem. Anyone else had this problem?

could be worn brakes unless toyota is still making faulty breaks haha

considering that its a 2010. take it back to toyota for a warranty repair. or most likely the brake pads are toast. you shouldnt drive it until you get it fix incase the recall thing happens and you can't stop. not tryin g to scare you but let you know the worst case scenerio.

The anti lock brake system is computer controlled. With Toyota, you know what that means. Defective. Get it checked at the Toyota dealer. They will lie to you like they did to me, but at least you tried.

The brakes are doing what they should. Slick roads and bumpy roads will cause this when you're braking the car. Watch out for stripes on the road- they are slicker than the rest of the road. Drive between the lines, not on them and watch getting too close to other drivers, creating the need to brake hard and suddenly. My 2010 Corolla only makes the ABS noise during panic stops or braking over pot holes and railroad tracks. It isn't very loud- just noticeable. Go to your dealer and have your car looked at. Your brakes should last about 40,000 miles or more. I doubt you have more than 10,000.

I think there is some problem with the brakes, you better replace it with wagner brakes to avoid that loud brake noises. You also have to check the brake pad and brake pedals to avoid acceleration.
