it is for a 3.0, 6 cylinder engine

Don't even try this. I can tell just because you're asking this that you can't do it. It is a lot of precise and difficult work. I can do it, but I would gladly pay a Toyota shop to do the job. Look in Chilton's Auto Repair Manual at the library and it will show everything about it. If you still want to try, first put $2000 in the bank, plus towing charges, to have it done right after you get it half taken apart and can't go any further.
