since you want to go the cheap route just buy eibach sport series springs which lower it a mere 1-1.5", depending on the car, check out their website, just google eibach springs and look for your car. However, in time your stock struts will go dead. I had tokico blues and they were good. Koni's are good as well. But the sport series springs allow u to use the stock struts for some time but hell u may as well change the shocks while there. with the labor it's worth it overall, trust me, have done it and owned many cars. And I use to work in a shop and we installed shocks to springs many times.
