It depends on why it's locked.
1. If you have Smart Start/Smart Entry, the mechanic probably disabled SS/SE with the button by the to the right of the steering column on the lower dashboard. In this case, you can press the unlock button on the fob to unlock. Once inside, press the button to enable.
2. If the 12V battery is dead, then slide the mechanical key out of the fob to unlock the door.
