Default Can I haul a 850 pound u-haul with 1999 Toyota Tacoma for 5 hours across fairly level terrain?
I'm moving from northern Colorado to the Black Hills of South Dakota. I do not have the most powerful truck a 2.4L Toyota Tacoma. Do you think I'll be able to do this without any problems?

It might be slow going but you shouldn't have any problems if it has had matinence done recently. I towed an even larger load with my Tacoma all through Texas without any problems.

The best thing would to be is consult the book that should be in the glove box.















if that is not there ask the uhaul folks. if it's not possible they won't rent one to you.















yeah they have guidelines. I once had a sporttrac and they will not rent you a trail because of the roll over rate.















there's a few good website that if you type it into google you should find what you are looking for.

it will do fine, keep in mind those little engines make horsepower by revving up so use the power of the engine in the power band, and take your time, if you have an automatic, do not haul in overdrive, use the next gear down, this will be eaisier on the truck.
