When the Maintenance Required light turns on, its time for an oil change. Toyota is set up to turn that light on every 5,000 miles. Bring it into the dealer for an oil change or a mechanic. If you get your maintenance done at a dealer, everything should be ready to go. However, if you do this yourself; reset the light by holding down the odometer switch and switching the car off and on. You may need to set it into trip A or Trip B or the regular mileage. Don't forget to rotate tires every 5,000 miles to extend tire life.
