Depends on what level of synthetic. Amsoil can go up to half a year- or close to 10,000 KM without a change and you'd be alright.

Other crap like Mobil1, though better then regular oil, should be swapped out at the regular intervals.

Toyota claims every 5000 miles.

I personally feel 10,000 or 15,000 should be soon enough.

I have a 1797 Dodge Dakota with 260,000 miles on it.

I changed oil about every 25,000 miles. No problem with

the engine . Uses not quite 1 quart of oil between changes.

Now I personally know people that change it every 3000 miles.\

They think I am a complete idiot.

every 5000 mile is the required time to change synthetic oil if it is not synthetic every 3000 miles

we change our synthetic oil every 7 - 8000 miles

Since you change oil because of contamination rather than wear on the oil, change it at the manufacturers recommended intervals for best results.

Good move!!! 7500.00 is more then adequete. use synthetic in all places taking fluid like tranny, steering, rear ect and you will gain 20 lb's of torque and same for HP as friction is cut and will also give car longer life. If one of those oil change like quicky Lube for get to put screw back you can go 2-300 miles before damage. they all are known for iyt as 3 people i know had NEW not used engines put in. 1 was 1986 Celica , a 1979 Celica and 1994 Supra with twin turbo.
