Why doesn't my Tundra A/C get any cooler?

First 2 years, one couldn't run the a/c on Hi- too cold. Toyota dealer said gages when hooked up was ok. Thermometer when running shows blowing 40 degrees. On a 77 degree day, the A/c just doesn't cool it well.

Help !

never run a/c on normal, always on max.

if you have a heater water valve, it might not be closing good

If your center duct temperature is 40 degrees on a 77 degree day this is good. You may want to check your cabin air filter. It should be replaced at 30k.I assume the A/C pressures are within acceptable limits.

40 degrees on a 77 degree day is generally acceptable temperature to have for ac. sometimes thats as cold as it can get. My pickup wouldnt blow any colder than 45 degrees no matter what i tried on it. did u have them recover and recharge your system?? if not i suggest you do because it might not have the proper level of refrigerant. do u know what the levels were that they took??? because on a 77 degree day your a/c reading on the high side should be round 177 and the low side should be round 30 I would ask them and maybe get a second opinion.
