You can do it yourself, but need to be careful, thorough and patient. Some things take precision, setting float level, and some settings need the carb to be at a certain temperature, you can do it, but set aside at least a day so you are not rushing. You would ideally need to get the mixture set again by a mechanic with an exhaust gas analyser.
