The 3T-GTE was a Japan only engine, and its reliability was questionable. I believe the emissions weren't US compliant either. Most had lean running problems, or spun rod bearings if they were run hard. In Japan, I haven't come across many in the past few years.. either the vehicles they originally were swapped out with a 4AG, 2JZ, or Nissan SR20 with factory or aftermarket turbo setups. Personally, I would look for a 4AG or a 3S.
