cheapest way to get a supra to the 500-600bhp mark?

i want it to have good accelaration to beat the gay lil ricers on the streets but nothing serious like 1/4 drag cars

LOL there is no cheap way to hit that horse power with a toyota. Easiest would be a turbo and nitrous but that stil would not put you in 500 mark. Seeing as a stock supra only has 150 horse motor. You would be looking into alot money to achieve 500 mark. There cheap stuff like Kand N air cleaner and headers but that only get about another 20 horse.

If you are seriously wanting to try this and seriously have a Supra then money should not be a option.

There is no cheap way of getting any car to have that kind of horsepower.

Rockhead has it right. Getting 500bhp NA is expensive. Turbos are a cheaper route, but you're still looking at $$$.

Third of Five - I disagree. You can push an '03 Cobra over 500bhp with cheap stuff like a smaller pulley, ECU flash and an exhaust.

Replace the engine with a big block Chevy, not exactly a bolt in but you can get that kind of HP out of them fairly cheaply.

slap a big single turbo on it. stock internals are strong so not much to worry about. Slap some aggressive tires to put the power to ground and enjoy.
