Default I am planning on getting a 2005 Toyota Highlander?
And for those who own a Highlander or who have owned one, would you say it is a good SUV? How is the gas mileage and what are the pros and cons of it?

We have bought 5 Toyotas from brand new and my wife drives 2005 Toyota Highlander 6 cylinder All Wheel Drive and 3rd seat. It runs fine except gas mileage is not so great maybe bec large engine and large tires. Note we also looked at 4 cylinder version but it lacked many options she wanted. FYI she previously drove 1993 Toyota Camry LE that had 211,000 miles when all her sisters insisted on SUVs for safety reasons and I currentlky drive 1998 Toyota Sienna XLE minivan with 130,000 miles.































I would recommend Honda CRV as a better SUV choice if you're looking for style and gas mileage as well as roominess bec it has 4 cylinder engine and AWD

I had a 2004 V6 AWD. It is a great car, very reliable, nice size, drives well. Gas mileage is low 20's though.
