Default So I got a 1996 Toyota T100 for my first truck.?
Has about 160k miles on it and it's Japanese made. Do you think I made a good decision?















I'm 16 and I live in Alaska so 4x4 is a good idea. I hope my truck will be reliable.















Toyotas have served my dad well in the past. His never has had a problem and it's made it well passed the 300k mark.















I don't like the US made toyotas because of there factory problems. ie gas pedal sticking.

I do. I wish I had it. It is a good size, has enough power if not too much, and Toyota makes a good truck. See ya at 300k!















Japanese vehicles love maintenance, BTW.

poor decision. 99% of the trucks up north are american made. now with the exception of yours. it has been that way for a reason.

There are no US made T100's but the US built Toyotas are just as good as the Japanese built ones. (I have both). I bought a 1996 T100 new and it has nearly 190,000 miles on it now. I will NOT tell you that it has been problem free but it still works just like it did brand new and does not use a drop of oil. If the truck in question was well cared for it would be a good choice.
