Yes, because they are pretty low maintenance cars and they will run forever if you do said maintenance.































Its true that almost any Toyota would make a good first car (an MK IV Supra is probably the only exception), but the problem with this is there is nothing fancy or exciting about Toyota vehicles, so I would stick with the Celica if that is an issue. Oh, and buy a GT model if you can.

I say yes.































I owned a 1994 Celica in 2002 and the car served me well for three years. I sold it to a guy and he wrecked it but it still starts and runs. Mine was a reconstructed title also, so something happened to it in the past. That was my first car also.

You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carquotes.sinfree.net

I'd also agree that it is. I currently have a '90 Celica as a backup car and it runs nicely. It's peppy without being dangerous and completely tame. They're also pretty cheap and reliable, and not too terrible to work on yourself if you're interested in such things.
