2007 Toyota Tacoma Issue?

Default 2007 Toyota Tacoma Issue?
I have 63k miles on my Tacoma. When I come to a stop, I feel/hear a bump, kind of like someone bumped the rear bumper. It generally happens after I've been stopped for a few seconds. Is this an issue with the rear axle?

Get your brakes checked... abs breaks when coming to a major stop sound like your running over a 30 foot long dead body. you might be mistaking the sound of your abs brakes ruined for the sound of it coming from behind you. and my 2007 tacoma 4 cyl runs like a dream and ive crashed it twice. 86k

I saw a situation like this on a 4runner. It turned out the rear of the drive line needed to be lubed.I know that sounds weird, but it fixed it.

Probably parts of your driveline are just in need of some lubrication. If you do some Google searching for drive shaft or slip yoke bump, you'll find that to be a very common problem with all trucks. My last two Chevy trucks, my parents Toyota Tundra, my neighbors Nissan Titan, and several of my company's trucks have had similar problems. They needed everything from simple lubricating to replacing parts of the driveline to fix the problem.
