Is there a cabin air filter in a 1992 Tercel?

Default Is there a cabin air filter in a 1992 Tercel?
My 1992 Tercel doesn't have AC and the fan blows alot slower than when I have it on recirculate. I was thinking maybe it was because the cabin air filter might be clogged but I can't find one anywhere in the car. Did they make 1992 Tercels with cabin air filters? If they did where are they located?































What is the stuff behind / underneath the area by the glove compartment?

No cabin air filter. I would take it to a shop and have them check it out.

no cabin air filter in the tercel. the stuff behind the glove compartment is the cooling element, heater core, and blower fan. to access all these you need to remove the dash, radio and e-brake console. its an easy project if you have two full days, a junkyard for parts and reference in case you screw up, and a lot of patience. the tubing for the vents could've come apart as well. each vent has its own independent plastic square tube where they all meet behind the a/c controls.
