What can I do about my '04 Corolla that makes excessive noise? Please read on.?

Default What can I do about my '04 Corolla that makes excessive noise? Please read on.?
It has 150k + miles on it, the tranny was rebuilt a year ago (cheap too - only $600) and it makes a rough sound only when I accelerate. The check engine light is NOT on and it's been like that for at least 6 mos. I had a clutch job on it done and the noise is still there. I have a feeling it's the tranny again but how can that be if I just rebuilt it a year ago? Maybe the bearings were cheap? I use it a lot and travel all over the state but probably put in about 25k a year in miles. What can the noise be? Any ideas that might help?

i had a tranny rebuilt one time, kept taking it back, they never got it right. sold the vehicle. it was legal transhop at that!!!

If it's the trans then you need to replace it with a used one.















If it's not a trans noise, look at two other things. One drive belt tensioner, or two the timing chain noise.
