I'm looking to buy a 2000 Toyota Celica GT but my dad says he thinks they may not be safe. Can anyone provide me with crash test ratings or tell me if it is a safe car? Thanks in advance.
Yes, they are relatively fun and safe cars. They are sporty, but are in many ways similar to a normal size sedan. For a first car, you'd be lucky to get your hands on one of these.
The NHTSA gave this car a 4 for both frontal & side crash tests. 5 is the best score possible. Come to think of it, I think it might have had the best crash test scores in its class that year.
