If you have not been good about rotating your tires, the rear tires can get "cupped" (bumps and valleys in the tread). That can make a tremendous amount of noise. Look at the rear tires carefully to see if the tread is even all of the way around, if it is not, that is your noise. You can also try rotating the tires and see if the noise moves to the front or sounds different. That would indicate a tire problem also.
