What's wrong if my 2003 Toyota Highlander's "Door Open" symbol stays on?

Default What's wrong if my 2003 Toyota Highlander's "Door Open" symbol stays on?
Even with the doors closed and locked, the symbol seems to still stay on. Also, when i leave the vehicle and push the lock button on my keyless remote it makes a 10 second long beep.

Most likely one of your door switches is bad.

Most switches for the 'door light' are in the latch mechanism. Try putting a little WD/40 on the door part AND the part on the body.
