2jz engine in a 2000 Toyota Celica GT?

Okay so i was wondering if i could put my 2jz-GTE twin turbo engine in my 2000 Toyota Celica GT. thanks!

yea it is possible but it will cost waay too much. but if you really want to do it and want that incredible power and have the money to blow go for it. it will be worth all the trouble once you finish

Yes its possible provided its done by a pro and is certifified.

Man that celica will be a beast when thats done!

I suppose but I think it would be rather hard, that engine is originally vertical, but you're going onto a horizontal. So you would have to somehow mount it. This also means that the transmission is also going to go sideways.

You're also going from an inline 4 to inline 6.

Lastly, you're going to plant around 280 hp ish onto the ground. I don't know if the current Celica axle and everything will be able to handle the power. Also, even if it can, the Celica is a front wheel drive so getting the horsepower onto the tarmac might be a little hard.

Good luck though. I've seen some crazy mods before.

If you want to spend $15,000 or more to make 300hp in a Celica, go for it. It would require swapping to a rear wheel drive configuration, since the Celica is FWD and the Supra that the GTTE comes in is RWD. This means your car would be sitting in a chassis shop for a while. Then you get to the issue of room. The celica hood is small, and the engine bay is even smaller. You couldn't fit the 2JZ transverse for FWD, and I don't think it would fit under the hood longitudinally.
