If you wanted them to have to pay for it, it would have to have been the mirror breaking due to a mechanical/electrical fault of Toyota; e.g. the control button caused it to go haywire.
Yes, but it may be covered under your insurance. No car warranties cover accidental damage. Car washes are notorious for snapping off mirrors, scratching the paint, etc. Use one of the 25 cent car washes or one where they do everything by hand.
