How will a 2001 2wd toyota tacoma do off road or in the snow?

Default How will a 2001 2wd toyota tacoma do off road or in the snow?
im planning on getting one and i go to the motocross track pretty often, and would it be able to haul two 250sxf dirtbike pretty easy. Also in the winter i snowboard a lot and there are some pretty steep hills around where i go, do you think it would be ok on that type of terrain?

It will be just fine as long as you don't try to get too crazy with it and YOU learn how to drive it in those conditions.































In bad conditions the Driver is more important than the Car. Make a mistake (like stopping on a Hill in the snow) and no Car/Truck will save you.

i have a 04 toyota tacoma and i have NEVER been stuck. i bet it will do just fine as long as you know how to drive it!

The 2wd Tacoma is a good super reliable work horse. But if you are going to try to use it off road or in snow why not get a 4wd? A 2wd truck is worse than a 2wd car in snow but the snow does not even bother a 4wd truck. If you are trying to climb steep hills in snow with 2wd, you are pushing your luck.

Traction on snow and ice is determined by the tires. 4wd only helps you accelerate faster, does nothing for braking and steering. Get some extra rims and proper snow tires.















If you are not convinced, go on you tube, check out tirerack video comparing all season tires to winter tires. Identical car.
