You need more than just the right CCA (or Cold Cranking Amps). It has to be the right size to fit in your battery tray.
I would say no less than 500 CCA. But more is usually better.
Yeah, you could get a 300 CCA Battery, but let it sit for more than a day or 2 and it could easily drain enough to not start your car the next time.
It's not about the size of the motor you are trying to start either. The Corolla has a gear reduction starter in it. Which requires a bit more juice to power.
You can get the smallest cheapest battery, but you are much more likely to get stranded. Especially in the cold. Because the colder it is, the less Amps you have to start your car.
