Is the Toyota Matrix XRS any faster than the Matrix S?

Default Is the Toyota Matrix XRS any faster than the Matrix S?
They both have the same engine and roughly the same weight.















Some guys at my work own the XRS and it's pretty quick. Just wondering if it were possible to save a good $2,000 and get the same package. What do you think?

No, they are both equally slow. The only difference is in the body and interior.

In all honesty, if this was the last generation Matrix, I'd take the XRS over any of them. However, the difference between the current generation S and XRS isn't that signoificant except the XRS is equipped to handle better with 18" wheels (the S has optional 17s) and double wishbone rear suspension. I don't know why Toyota even makes the S. It's basically the same car with a few less features
