VERY FRUSTRATED with my 1991 Toyota Camry?
I will NEVER give up with fixing my car, I want to keep it so badly because it's my first car. Anyway, my car burning oil, but my dad say it was normal because it's old car. I don't think so because not all old car do that. Okay, so, one day, I tried to start up my car for many time, on 4th time, it got started but after I put it on drive, it quited. For 7th time, I finally got it start again, then for all the suddenly, the smoking coming out from my e-brake really fast and hood too, I looked at my cold/heat thing, it was on cold, I turn the engine off, ran to get the fire exhaustion, look for where the smoke come out from, it was F-I-R-E, FIRE on catalytic converter!!! After the fire stopped, my dad told me that we can replace it, so no big deal. I asked him what it will be cost for buy that catalytic converter (for 1991 Toyota Camry LE V6) my dad wasn't sure what the price. My dad know how to replace it, but do you know what it will be cost? I have to pay it for myself.
