is driving with a bad O2 sensor harmful to the engine of my 95 toyo 4runner 6cyl?
i think my O2 sensor is bad (but not positively sure). had it changed at 100k and now have over 200k. the check engine light comes on during full acceleration (especially up a grade), but funny thing is that when i restart the car again, the check engine light is not on and sometimes the check engine light doesnt come on when i drive. i have a CA truck and do i need a special sensor? the last time i bought a toyota dealer sensor, they needed the serial number off my truck and when i went to auto zone, they told me there was only 1 sensor listed for my 4runner. should i buy the auto zone sensor, or should i stick with the dealer sensor and spend about $80 more. thanks suki
