what do you do if you put too much freon in a 95 celica?

I have a toyota celica and was recharging the freon but put too much freon in what should i do?

if you know how much too much you put in - take it to an a/c shop and they can suck out that amount. Or in the alternative they will have to evacuate the system and put in the proper measured charge. Don't run the system with too much freon or you may "slug" the compressor - that is get liquid in the compressor. it will break the compressor if you do that.

Putting any Freon in a '95 was the first mistake. The last model year of vehicle to use a Freon (in this case R12) was 93, and for that year it wasn't even all of them that did still use it. As I have said many times here before R134a refrigerant is not a Freon, it is a Suva. Both are trademarks of the DuPont corporation.
