How long will aftermarket parts last in a Toyota engine?

Default How long will aftermarket parts last in a Toyota engine?
I have a 2000 Toyota Solara with 130,000 for miles and the car is not under any warranty. About 2 months ago I had a aftermarket ignition coil and a mass air flow sensor put in the car and I recently found out that it's not good to have aftermarket parts put in your engine, but I already spent $300 to get these parts put in and I don't wanna waste any money. So, can anybody tell me how long will the ignition coil and mass air flow sensor will probably last?

kinda depends on the manufacturer of your aftermarket parts. I have always heard good things about MSD ignition.

There is no problem whatsoever with using aftermarket parts on your engine especially if its to boost performance. There are alot of aftermarket parts out there that in many ways are better quality than oem so unless you just go buying the cheapest stuff you can find you're gonna be ok.

There are lots of Toyota snobs out there that would have you believe that your car will crash into a ditch if you don't run anything but Toyota parts. Aftermarket parts are fine and usually about 1/2 the price. So if they wear out in 80,000 miles instead of 130,000 you will still be ahead.
