How much oil should I put in a toyota corolla?

Default How much oil should I put in a toyota corolla?
I need to replace the oil, How do I know how much oil it holds, in the engine I read 1.8 L, does this mean that I should pour 1.8 litters of oil???

All your engines capacities are listed in the owners manual. They give you capacity with and without changing the filter. 1.8 L is the engine displacement, not the oil capacity. Most likely you need 3.5 -4 liters of oil.

You will need 4 quarts of 5W-30 oil. DIY oil changes save a lot of money but sometimes can be messy. There are no special tools other than a 10mm and 14mm socket, oil filter wrench, oil drain pan and knowing order on what to remove in order to reach & remove the filter. Also I recommend you inquiring and knowing which local service stations or area recycling facilities accept used motor oil.































Additionally I recommend always using genuine Toyota oil filters and don't forget to drain the ATF fluid every 25K to 30K miles.

Check the owners manual. Probably 4 qts. Use a good engine oil like Mobil 1 and good oil filter like purolator or k&n. Change oil every 5000 miles so the engine will last a long time
