Default hello, can you tell me if i can tow a 17 foot camper trailer with a 4=4 toyota 4 cly engine truck?
it has a 5 speed tranny gaw is 5300 lbs for the truck also i live in the mountains

Even if u have the tow-package on ur 4cly it may b 2 much 4 that small of an engine,everything else sounds good however.

Well, the 4 banger trucks are only rated to tow 3500 lbs or so. If your trailer doesn't exceed that and your truck is prepped for towing, you should be okay. Its not gonna be fun though, especially on inclines.

You need more truck to tow a 17 foot camper in the mountains! If you just have to move it somewhere you will be OK if you are careful but if you want to tow it regularly I would get a bigger vehicle.
