Default planning to drive 1000 miles(round trip) on my 99 camry which has 130k miles on it,good idea?
got new set of tires..recently got all fluids check done..is it a good idea to take such a old car for such journey?

I wouldn't hesitate for a minute. That car is more than capable of making a 1000 mile trip. Camry's are one of the most reliable cars around. I have actually owned a 1987 Camry with 275k Miles on it. Ran great, just rotted out.

Should not be a problem. However, please check the condition of your drive belts, water holes and brake pads. A spare tire (punctured wheel), a small can of lubrication oil (for topping up) & a bottle of water (over heating) to bring along just in case. Driving over long distance is fun but don't let simple stuff spoil the mood. Happy Driving!

ABSOLUTELY!!! But get your oil changed before you go and a general inspection like the other writer said (tires, belts and hoses). I had a 1988 Camry for 16 years before I sold it for $4000. I now have had a Sequoia for 10 years (currently has 112,000 miles) without any problems. The key is to do your maintenance when it is due. I plan to keep this truck another 10 years ...at least.

Stop by your local tire store on the way out and have them check your tire pressure and your battery and you're good to go































I wouldn't hesitate for a second to hop in and go
