has anyone had his or her tundra frame replaced?
i took mine in and was told i too need a new frame. are they crazy? anyone who lives in the glorious rust belt and repairs his own vehicles knows that just swapping the frame is retarded. all brake lines and fuel lines will snap and need replaced, exhaust, shocks all bolts with rusted out threads, mounts, a arms etc etc etc. i was told the frame and labor alone costs 12k not including whatever else. a buyback would be the only logical option. i was told 8 weeks. is this true or does toyota want to evaluate and total number of vehicles and decide on a buyback. i cant imagine there is a warehouse with 50000 nos frames just lying around. id rather get buy back or trade in for something that gets more than 15mpg anyway.
