Default Toyota Sequoia 2003 air fuel sensor?
I have a toyota sequoia and the check engine is on. The code is P0051. The mechanic said its the air fuel sensor. Bank 2 sensor 1. First sensor on the left side. (drivers side). I changed it and after 2 miles the check engine lights came on again. I checked and its still the same code. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to solve it? I really would appreciate it Thanks.

Bank 2 is the right side! (starboard? right side from the driver's seat) P0051 means there is an open circuit for the oxygen sensor heater. It is not too uncommon tor these to fail. It is very easy to check the sensor. There are 4 wires going to it, 3 different colors. Measure the resistance across the 2 wires that are the same color. If the heater is good the resistance will be very low, like 10 ohms. If it is bad the circuit will be open, infinite resistance. I hope you kept the old sensor so you can put it put it in the other side, or put it back and put the new one in the other side.
