Very Low Compression?

Default Very Low Compression?
i have a 1989 toyota mr2, after doing some work to the head (new valves, guides and seals,) i put the head back on with a new headgasket. it wouldnt start so i did a compression test where it read 30psi and less on all cylinders. Ive put in new piston rings and still the same problem. what can cause such low compression?

Sounds like you have a valve or valves not seating properly. Also, possibly a warped head.

you do not have the cams timed properly
