Default I have a 1983 toyota pickup? Help??
I am running 35s on my 1983 toyota with a stock 22r and i would like to have a little more power 4th and 5th gear are pretty much useless. So for all the Yota guys out there i was wondering what would be the best gears to put in it i was told 5.29s ????

Gearing would probably be the best and most economical solution. It would increase your gas mileage as long as you didnt go over 100km/hr, you could put a bigger engine in, or modify the engine head or turbo/supercharge it but that would be more costly and put greater wear on the engine. So yeah, 5.29s would do the trick.

Definetly 5.29 for tires bigger than 34. stock 30-31 stock gears, 32-34 tires 4.88, any bigger run 5.29 general guide for old toyota trucks. Check out forums at toytech.com or ttora.com
