How do I fix the cigarette lighter receptacle in my 2008 corolla ce?

Default How do I fix the cigarette lighter receptacle in my 2008 corolla ce?
I checked the fuse and it seems to be fine. Both the Lighter socket near the hand break and the one inside the arm rest do not work. I tried purchasing new chords to make sure it wasn't the chords and I got the same results, nothing generating out of both of them. Does this mean something in the middle unit itself needs to be replaced? If so, how would I go about getting that started?

Change the fuse. fuses can show to be good but when put a load on they don't work. unlikely the recepticles are bad. If you need to replace both recepticles you will have to gain access to the back of these panels to remove. I would check the power by changing the fuse















Some cars have to have the key turned ON for the recepticle to work. Hope this helps
