Default What Is This On My Car? Camry?

1987 Camry... connects to the intake manifold, has some vacuum hoses going to it. And it has that long "tube" that you can turn either way with the spring in there. You can see by the picture... what is it and what does it do? Thanks































My friend and I messed with it but not sure what it is or how to get it back to spec. any info will be great thanks















Nope, it is not the fuel pressure regulator. The regulator bolts to the fuel rail. I replaced that a few weeks ago.































So anyone else have a guess on what it is?

That is a fuel pressure regulator. keeps the pulsation from the pump down to a minimum.
