2007 Toyota Corolla Maintenance Required Light?

Default 2007 Toyota Corolla Maintenance Required Light?
The maintenance required light came on, and I always just assume it's the oil. But I pulled out the dipstick and it is still honey colored. Is there anyway to get a code from it to double check? Like the "door open, blue shirt on, turn the key 45748 times precisely, etc" procedure? Thanks.

Just take it to your Toyota dealer.































but If you don't want cars with "maintenance required lights" or a car that needs maintenance or repairs or gasoline, buy an american made car. because they're low maintenance.

no no no. you gotta have a red shirt on.















.You could take it to your local NAPA or Schucks and have them run a diagnostics on it. That would be your best bet. Other than that make sure the oil is "FULL". check "ALL" your fluids. From there you start looking at things like oxygen sensors and what not.















. Really though. 2007. Take it to just about anywhere and ask for a diagnostics.

That light is mileage-triggered. It probably comes on every 5,000 miles and you take it in for service. In my 2010 Corolla, the light comes on every 5,000 miles. There is a trick for turning the light off. It something like "hold in the trip meter knob while you turn the car on and hold the knob until the light resets". I'm not really sure that's exactly it, but something like that. With GM's you press the gas a few times and turn the car on and step on the gas some more. If everybody knew these tricks, they would do their own maintenance and not pay the $250 oilchange and look at everything else fee. All cars have this "hook" for making you come in for service. Your Chevy will nag you with its "Oil-Life % meter".

when a oil change is done this light should be reseted,so you need a oil change or some one forgot to reset the light(with the car off hold the trip button,then turn it on without starting it,watch the lines go down)your oil color dosnt mean you dont need it changed,,,clean oil is a good sign but still dosntmean its not due for change
