what is the problem with toyota keep getting recalled?

By the time next yeat all cars will be recalled and we will be better of just walking everywhere again like in 1900's.Anybody agress with me.















Ok i know Toyota is the best i think i have been keeping on eye on the new 2010 4runner its sharp but im scared to get it bc of all the recalls on the starting and stalling part of the cars. But all cars are getting recalled and i dont think we are going to have cars anymore b/c we are getting to far in the furture and i dont like

All manufacturers have recalls. No matter what you drive, GM, Ford, Dodge, Nissan, Honda, etc, they all have recalled some vehicle for some reason. The reason you're hearing so much about toyota is because of the accelerator problem. Just like when Ford had problems with the ignition switches, then the brake switches, etc. The media will take any chance they get to boost ratings. If that means going after Toyota EVERY time they hear about a recall they will do it. Don't be sucked into believing that something is bad just because the news said so. Do some research on your own, gather information from RELIABLE sources (not news media outlets) and you'll see that despite all the recalls Toyota is a good reliable brand.

In V6's and 8's there is some defect with some valve springs. Toyota is replacing the suspected parts free. The springs may cause the engine to shut down. New camaros are suddenly shutting down on the road and you don't hear a whisper about it, but look in the NHTSA Office of Defect Investigations customer complaints section, you will see many Camaro owners making this complaint. We keep on he-hashing the Toyota brake issue but, I said from the very beginning, it wasremote hacking. This is being proven:

Can't understand....I've been brain washed..Toyotas are still good. Has to be TV says so.































Some say they are making the worst cars now, however. Probably after claiming brake problems were rug problems not the electrical it turned out to be, then the steering problems and the engines that wont shut off, the Lexus that rolled over, the trucks the front shafts were coming off, the SUVs that were having their tire supports rusting off, the Tacoma and Tundras that the frames have rotted out, and now engine recalls.....and Toyota recalls nothing unless gov forces them to do so.































These recalls wouldn't be so bad if in 50 years...but these are all in one year. Making Toyota worst quality of all cars in world. I wouldn't risk my life in one if only ride available

Because they wanted to be the worlds largest car company and only did crash test and stuff I think. They knew about the pedal problems in september of 2009 but didn't say anything about it.

Actually, Toyota usually does it's own recalls aggressively. You don't here about them because they usually take care of them on their own. Owners would get the notice so the government wouldn't have to step in.One of my car is a 1991 Toyota Previa. There was a recall on the expansion valve for the A/C unit on these. I called Toyota last Thursday. They are replacing it free of charge along with my compressor- which they said probably failed prematurely do to the expansion valve. On top of that, that particular year had a recall on the wiper arms as well. Those are also being replaced free of charge. Toyota isn't doing this because of the other problems the company is facing. They are just reacting like they used to react to any issues. My brother had a 1980 Celica that had an exhaust manifold leak. In 1996, when the issue arose on his '80 Celica, someone told him that the 20R engine had a recall on that part. He called Toyota and they replaced it free of charge. the car was 16 years old and had 260,000+ miles on it by that time. The issues that they are having now are blown out of proportion by the media and the government- just like the media did to Ford and GM in the past. If those all of those Fords and Chevys were so bad, why are there still a lot of them on the road? It's Toyotas turn now to go through the media-bashing and who knows who the next company will be. I agree with the first answer: It's about ratings.

buddy,all car companies have recall,just the media chosses to pick on toyota,,chevy has 700,not gm just chevy,,toyota has 170 so.......its all media hype,,,every car has recalls,they can even come out 10 years after the car was made,,,,i wouldnt worry bout it as they fix it for free....and if your scared about recalls,then get a bus pass cause no matter what car you get they will have a recall,,also never get the first year of a new body style,like camry for exmp,,,from 97 to 01 they look the same,,dont get the 97,,from 02 to 08 they look the same but dont get the 02,,any car company works this way,they build it then see what can go wrong and change it in the newer models,,a 01 camry(last year the body style)is known as one of the best cars out there,forbs mag rated it number 1 in 2001

By what you have written, it is pretty clear that you do not trust Toyota. And with good reason. Each recall defect that they were good enough NOT to report to the government, and kindly, and quietly, (hush hush) fix on their own...amounts to a direct LIE to the public. You have done the research. You are aware of the many, many recalls, which in most cases was caused by a money hungry corporation who made money their God, over decency for the common man. Get your toyota then. But don't say you have not been warned...for you have been warned...by your own self!

the recalls are just a hoxe by the media. doesnt nobody ever read consumer reports? they tell the truth that toyotas dont have any problems. even ralph nadir drives a toyota cause he knows its the safest car built
