how much longer can a 2000 toyota camry le v4 engine last. It already has 129000 miles.

129k isnt alot take good care of it and it will go past 200k

depends on maintenance















have seen them with over 300k















average driving is 15k a year so a ten year car might have 150k















this is a low mileage car.

I have a 97 Camry v4 with 360,000kms (approx 210k miles?) and it's still running. Granted... it has other problems... but the engine still goes putt-putt.

I have to agree with ladystang. This is the venerable 5S-FE 2.2 liter I-4. It was used in the Camry from 1992-2001, the 1990-1999 Celica GT/GT-S and the 1991-1996 N/A MR2. At 129,000 miles, this engine is baby, it has just been broken in. I've seen older Camrys and Celicas with this engine exceeding 400,000 trouble-free miles. No joking. IMO, this is one of the most dependable engines on the planet. Waiting for it to die? You just might die first.
