could be your catalytic converter they get plugged with carbon crap and make the engine run as you described, I had this problem ina 3.4 in a t-100 if this is the problem a genuine replacement is about $500. an after market is about $278. or you can buy a universal one on e-bay for $80 bucks, that's what I did. also if you have never replaced the in line gas filter this could be a simple fix and throw a bottle of dry gas in your gas tank.
