No it will not hurt it.
The important thing is to keep the new plug in the same heat range
as the older one. Heat range is affected by multiple things from the design to the gap of the plug.
I all ways recommend Denso, or NGK for for Toyotas.
I've run them in MANY Toyota cars/trucks with out a single problem.
And yes, I've run them in the Toyota 2.2 Engines.
