Default disarm 1997 toyota avalon alarm.?
3 weeks ago, someone broke my driver glass window and opened the driver side door and the alarm didn't go off at all. Yesterday while driving, the alarm went off automatically. I have had this car for 7 years already and I just found yesterday that my car had an alarm. So can anyone please tell me what I need to do to disarm the alarm? The only thing I did yesterday was unhooked the negative from the battery.















I've check under the hood and there's no such thing that looked like a horn. It sounds more like it's coming off from a black round plate.

If it went off while you were driving, it's probably an aftermarket system. As the stock system came with an engine kill.































Look under the hood for a black horn looking thing. Often they put it on the Firewall. Snip the Red and Black wires to disconnect it.
